Has a little birdy told you that The Good Place is expanding to South Brisbane? Well, that little birdy would be correct.
We are so excited to announce the forthcoming of a brand new venue in Cleveland. Set to open in mid-May, this partnership with our good friend Mustapha Habbouchi, otherwise known as “Moose,” will be bringing all the parts of The Good Place you’ve come to love, with a local twist!
Our founder James McGovern has been in talks with Moose over the last few months working together to dream up the ins and outs of this epic new venture – and we’ve officially signed the dotted line. (Can we get a woop woop?)
James said he’s excited to bring The Good Place values to the people of Cleveland and by partnering with a true blue local, it’s going to be a sure-fire hit within the community.
“We are really excited to be bringing our concept to Cleveland and adding to the already thriving cafe and restaurant culture building around the shopping centre,” he said.
“We know there’s a demand for a product like ours and we can’t wait to deliver it to the locals.”
Here at The Good Place, we believe a diet rich in real food is the key to health and longevity. As such, we have developed a menu that is gluten free, low sugar, soy free, and non GMO. We also deeply consider the sovereignty of food to ensure the plants, proteins and fats we use are organic where possible and sustainably and ethically sourced through local suppliers and regenerative farmers.
As a passionate ‘greenie’ James said this aspect of the business is what makes us stand out in comparison to other hospitality venues in Australia.
“This is an important part of our business model, because we know exactly where our food is coming from, we know our footprint isn’t damaging the local environment,” he said.
As always, The Good Place Cleveland will be sourcing its own unique set of local suppliers. We carefully choose our partners and only work with farmers and businesses who align with our values of ‘doing good.’
So it can sometimes be a slow process – but we can guarantee it’ll be worth the wait! With that in mind, if you’re a Cleveland local who owns an epic farm, business or know someone in the area who we just have to collaborate with, let us know.
It’s our mission to create a cafe that truly reflects the local community it serves. Together we can support a circular economy that gives back to you – the people of Cleveland!
We’re looking for sustainable stockists, producers and farmers as well as some opportunities to retail the products of local creators.
