We know what you’re thinking, “Autumn menu already?” But despite this week’s smouldering heatwave – the cooler weather is just around the corner.
And for us here at The Good Place, it means time spent in the kitchen doing our favourite thing – experimenting with new seasonal flavours.
This process keeps just getting better and better, because with each menu launch, we feel like we know you a little deeper and therefore can create a warming, tantalizing and health-conscious menu tailored to the tastes of our beloved TGP clan. Our Autumn menu is no exception, we’re so excited about this one we couldn’t possibly wait until the launch date on March 4th.
So we’ve teamed up with local event gurus Whitehouse International for an epic VIP menu launch, held at our Kawana venue next Wednesday, March 3rd.
On the evening, guests will be the first on the Coast to taste-test our brand new offerings; from Moroccan lamb skewers with sticky date sauce to dark chocolate ricotta mousse and the much anticipated addition of calamari to our menu. We reckon you’ll be just as excited as us!
However, equally important as our great tasting food, are the stories behind it. The farmers, producers and hardworking growers, who like us, sacrifice convenience and profit to ensure they are generating food that’s supporting our eco-systems, environment, natural regeneration and health.
Whether it’s Walker’s Seafood in Mooloolaba who avoid net fishing and unnecessary bycatch. Or Forage Farms in Mary Valley, who move their pig’s between paddocks each fortnight, not letting them return for an entire year, so the land can naturally replenish without the need for pesticides or sprays. Each one of our suppliers has an interesting and inspiring story behind their product. And sometimes between the busy hustle and bustle of everyday service, we fear we don’t get to preach them enough.
Which makes nights like our Eat Good, Feel Good event so special. It’s our opportunity to slow down, take a time out with our customers and suppliers to chat, share stories and build relationships.
Tickets are $30 per person or $120 for a table of four. Seating allocations will be set in groups of four, so bring along your three best friends or come alone and meet three more.
Guests will be served multiple courses of sharing plates and within their table groups will be given the opportunity to taste a range of delicious and carefully selected menu items (including vegetarian, red and white meats and seafood). In true The Good Place style, no allergy or dietary requirement is too much for us to handle, just be sure to let us know when booking your ticket.
Is it March 3rd yet? We honestly can’t wait. Hopefully, we see you there but remember, tickets are limited. So head here, if you’re looking for a way to feel good this month!
